Dried Himalayan Morel Mushrooms/Gucchi
These beautiful mushrooms have been harvested by experienced foragers from the higher altitudes of the Himalayas. Morels are found in the wild and commercial cultivation of these mushroom is difficult.
They are also very rare. Harvesting of true morels requires knowledge and skill and it is important to identify their distinctive features correctly. Their limited availability, unique flavour, and the challenges associated with their harvesting and cultivation create a strong demand for these prized mushrooms.
The Himalayan foothills and higher elevations provide suitable habitats for true morels. True morels are a good source of essential nutrients, including Vitamins, minerals, and Dietary Fiber. They are low in calories and Fat, making them a nutritional addition to meals.
1) Place the desired amount of dried Morels in a container. Morels increase approximately 2.5 times their weight after rehydration.
2) Add enough hot water to cover the morels. Soak it for about 20 min or until fully rehydrated.
3) Drain the mushrooms. Rinse and scrub them in cold water atleast 2 times to remove soil, particles/dust/mud.
